(1) After the purchase agreement, the public body may take an advance bank guarantee from the supplier, builder or service provider and give a deposit not exceeding twenty percent of the purchase agreement amount.
(2) In accordance with sub-section (1), in the first instance, the amount of the approved advance shall not exceed half of the amount and the remaining amount may be given based on the progress of the work.
(3) Except in the case of sub-section (5) of section 10, the advance amount shall be paid only through the bank account opened separately for the contracted work.
(4) The supplier, builder or service provider shall start the work within thirty days from the date of receiving the submission for the first time in accordance with sub-section (2).
(5) Details of the purpose for which the amount submitted as per sub-section (2) has been spent shall be updated and provided to the relevant public body as prescribed.
(6) If the submission taken under this section is not used in the related work, sub-section
The advance bank guarantee taken as per (1) will be forfeited.
(7) Other arrangements related to delivery shall be as prescribed.
